Escondido entre los abundantes bosques y montañas de la provincia de Ourense, se encuentra este pequeño pueblo, perteneciente a la localidad de Cartelle.

Por este lugar pasa el cauce del Río Arnoia, donde se puede observar la "Ponte do Freixo", un puente contruido entre los siglos II y III por los romanos; además de un sinfín de bosques, prados, fuentes y caminos escondidos.
Todas las estaciones del año favorecen la hermosa vista de este lugar repleto de naturaleza, donde a veces se pueden observar en silencio animales como ciervos, liebres, zorros y jabalíes.
Este pueblo tiene como patrón al Apostol Santiago, por lo que es tradición festejar el día 25 de julio de cada año en su honor, celebrando comidas y reuniendo a todos los familiares.
En general, despertar en un lugar donde el único sonido que rompe el silencio son los cantos de los pájaros, es una de las experiencias más maravillosas que se pueden vivir.
